An overpressure balloon (SPB – Super Pressure Balloon) is a type of balloon in which the volume is kept relatively constant despite changes in the ambient pressure outside and the temperature of the carrier gas contained in it. Thanks to this, the balloon keeps a stable height for a long time.
The presented balloon coating is produced by the American Scientific Balloon Solutions, a company with a long tradition.
SBS was born out of a passion for balloon missions dating back to 2009. Today their products have successfully “flew” around the world. They provide affordable solutions for the education (STEM) and research community. By focusing their efforts on end-user satisfaction, they try to design, build and deliver solutions that meet their expectations.
The SBS-16 shell is in the R&D phase. It will be available shortly after their completion.
